"VOICES TAKE FLIGHT" to soar higher with the help of
FieldWorks Events & Marketing Inc.

VTF and FieldWorks plan to increase funds raised to battle ALS

Scottsdale, Arizona. July 2003 - VOICES TAKE FLIGHT (VTF), a "friend of the ALS Association", has engaged the services of FieldWorks Events & Marketing Inc. to help them grow their annual fund-raising event. VTF's all-volunteer committee will benefit from FieldWorks' experience in event management, public relations and sponsorship procurement to help manage costs, increase attendance and generate more revenue to support the ALS Association.

“It was a natural for us to choose FieldWorks on this project” said Frank Schmuck, Gulf War Veteran and founder of VOICES TAKE FLIGHT.

About VOICES TAKE FLIGHT

VOICES TAKE FLIGHT is an annual concert Celebrating Music; Promoting Service; and Heightening Awareness of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, a progressive, neuro-degenerative muscular disease that inordinately affects Persian Gulf War veterans. ALS does not discriminate against gender, age or ethnicity, yet a diagnosis of ALS is a death sentence; the cause of ALS is not known and there is no cure.

Frank Schmuck founded VOICES TAKE FLIGHT to help fellow Persian Gulf War veteran and pilot, Major Michael Donnelly, who was diagnosed with ALS after the war at the age of 36. Voices Take Flight has now evolved into a program that not only helps all people with ALS, but also celebrates music and promotes service (military and civilian).

Each year a different branch of the service has been invited to perform at VOICES TAKE FLIGHT. In 2004 VTF celebrates the United States Military, welcoming the US Military Academy West Point Glee Club in a rare west coast appearance. They will join the Phoenix Boys Choir and the Men of the Phoenix Boys Choir in celebration of music.

Following the concert is an awards banquet where VTF honors individuals with the SCHOW-DONNELLY AWARD for “Service Before Self”. This award is named for Lt. Col. K.C. Schow, Jr. (USAF ret) and Major Michael Donnelly (USAF retired) who flew 35 F-16 combat missions together during the Persian Gulf War of 1991. Each earned four Air Medals and Lt. Col. Schow was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross in defense of the nation. After the war both were diagnosed with fatal diseases; yet their willingness and ability to help others, their community, and the nation did not stop.

Past recipients of the SCHOW-DONNELY AWARD include The Honorable Anthony J. Principi, U.S. Secretary of Veteran Affairs, Ross Perot and Curt & Shonda Schilling.

VOICES TAKE FLIGHT will be held on Saturday March 6, 2004. The concert at Phoenix First Assembly costs $10 to attend and runs from 2 pm to 4 pm. The awards banquet follows at the Pointe Hilton Tapatio Cliffs Resort. Dinner tickets are just $195 each. Proceeds support the ALS Association.

Kams extend contract with
FieldWorks Events & Marketing Inc. for two more years

FieldWorks to manage sponsorships for Chicago Cubs Spring Training

Scottsdale, Arizona. June 12, 2003 - FieldWorks Events & Marketing Inc. is pleased to announce that the HoHoKams have extended its contract for another two years. Under the terms of this agreement FieldWorks will be the exclusive independent contractor responsible for managing sponsorships for the Chicago Cubs spring training at HoHoKams Stadium for the 2004 and 2005 seasons. This includes outfield banners, scoreboard signage, souvenir program advertising and game day promotions. And, if you sing, note that FieldWorks is also responsible for recruiting National Anthem singers!

FieldWorks has been working for the HoHoKams for the past 4 years in this capacity and during that time has generated over one million dollars in sponsorship revenue. “What is fantastic about this is that the majority of these funds stay in the East Valley, for the most part benefiting the kids in our community.” said Darryl Toupkin, president of FieldWorks.

Chicago Cubs Spring Training in Mesa is managed by a consortium of the Chicago Cubs, City of Mesa and the HoHoKams. Hundreds of volunteers from the HoHoKams organization volunteer their time to manage parking, provide customer service, sell programs and usher guests to their seats. In return for their volunteer efforts proceeds from ticket sales, souvenir programs, parking and sponsorship revenues go to the Mesa HoHoKams Foundation, a 501C-3 organization dedicated to supporting youth sports in Arizona.

Each year the HoHoKams donate thousands of dollars to local community youth programs - East Valley Little League baseball, the YMCA, East Mesa Recreation Association, Mesa Association for Sports for the Disabled, Gene Lewis Boxing Club, Hotshots Softball Team of AZ & Mesa, Mesa Sports Hall of Fame, Arizona Youth Lacrosse League and the Dwight Patterson Sports Academy, to name a few.

“We are delighted that FieldWorks has chosen to stay on for another two years.” said Tom Rhodes, President of the Mesa Sports Association.

FieldWorks Events & Marketing Inc. hits a
"Grand Slam" with spring training sponsorships

Despite war and uncertain economy, Cactus League Spring Training
sponsorship revenues were up an average of 15%

Scottsdale, Arizona. April 1, 2003 - FieldWorks Events & Marketing Inc. (FieldWorks) is proud to announce that sponsorship revenues were up an average of 15% for the Chicago Cubs, Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres 2003 Cactus League spring training season and that revenues for the new facility in Surprise met expectations.

Despite the war and uncertain economy, spring training attendance held firm. The Chicago Cubs, once again, were the best attended. The Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers in Surprise attracted new fans and offered new opportunities for sponsors to reach their target audience - both winter visitors and residents.

Spring training continues to provide value to corporate sponsors, offering the benefits of being associated with Major League Baseball very economically. “One of the key things we can provide with spring training is flexibility - customizing sponsorship packages to meet the unique needs of each partner,” said Darryl Toupkin, President of FieldWorks. “We can tie in with drive-to-retail or other unique programs. For example, this season we worked with Washington Mutual to offer an Honorary Bat Boy / Bat Girl program and with Windermere Real Estate to integrate the local charities supported by their Windermere Foundation.”

Tom Rhodes, Big Ho of the Mesa HoHoKams (the organization that brought spring training to the valley over 50 years ago!) was very pleased with the 2003 Spring Training season. “Our attendance was lower than we have grown used to in the last several years (due to the economy, the war and rain), but our fans enjoyed themselves immensely.”

J
im Brink, the Community Promotions Manager with the City of Peoria agreed: “The 2003 season was one of the more difficult of any that I've worked since the strike year in 1995. With the war affecting the Seattle Mariners’ trip to Japan, and weather, we expected our attendance numbers to be down. The one bright spot was our advertising revenue, which was our third highest in our 10 year history. This can only be attributed to the relationship that the Peoria Sports Complex has developed with our clients through FieldWorks Events & Marketing Inc. FieldWorks has shown that in difficult times having excellent client relationships can go a long way in maintaining your business. They have proven once again why FieldWorks Events & Marketing is the best at what they do.“

Sponsorships Up, Even in Down Economy

After a stellar 2002 event, Tempe Sister Cities extends contract with
FieldWorks Events & Marketing Inc. for 2 more years

Tempe, Arizona. January 2003 - As everyone will tell you, 2002 was a tough year, especially in the fund-raising business. So the folks at Tempe Sister Cities (TSC) breathed a sigh of relief when the final numbers came in and they found that sponsorship had increased by almost 20%. TSC has worked with FieldWorks Events & Marketing Inc. for the past 3 years, relying on their team to attract and maintain sponsors for their annual event.

"Sponsors expect more for their money today and are increasingly vigilant in ensuring that events follow through on their commitments," said Darryl Toupkin, President of FieldWorks. "It is not enough to simply hang a banner at an event for name recognition, sponsors are looking for avenues that drive real incremental business. Fundamental to our success is our creativity in working with our sponsors to help them meet their objectives as well as our unwavering commitment to customer support." Oktoberfest is a well-proven venue for corporate sponsors - 2002 was its 30th anniversary. The event receives lots of attention and garners widespread community support including over 1000 volunteers who make the event happen!

Along with managing sponsorships, FieldWorks will also continue to do the public relations for Oktoberfest. "PR goes hand-in-hand with sponsorships," attests Toupkin. "By doing both, we can ensure that the sponsors get the recognition and value they deserve."

"I have really enjoyed working with FieldWorks," for the 2001 and 2002 Oktoberfests.

Way Out West Oktoberfest (www.tempe.gov/sister) is TSC's annual fund-raiser, generating revenue to support its international student / teacher exchanges and other charitable programs.

FieldWorks Events & Marketing Inc. specializes in event management, sponsorship development, and public relations & media, with a focus on increasing revenue and growing an event while providing maximum value to sponsors. With this contract, FieldWorks reaffirms its commitment to serving the non-profit community. At present FieldWorks holds multi-year contracts with the Tempe AZ Rotary Clubs, Mesa HoHoKams, City of Peoria and City of Surprise. FieldWorks Events & Marketing Inc.
celebrates its 5th Anniversary

Company growth attributed to unique formula

Scottsdale, Arizona. July 2002 - FieldWorks Events & Marketing Inc. is proud to announce the celebration of its 5th anniversary. Incorporated in 1997, FieldWorks is today recognized as one of the premier event management and event marketing services organizations in Arizona, with annual sales over $1.5 million dollars. FieldWorks' clients include the City of Peoria, Mesa HoHoKams, Tempe Sister City Corporation, Tempe Arizona Rotary Clubs and Equine Productions.

FieldWorks' success has been built on a unique approach. Rather than focusing solely on one aspect of an event, FieldWorks takes an integrated view. "We believe that it is important to understand an event from the perspective of the organizer, the sponsor, and the media partner," says Darryl Toupkin, President and Founder of FieldWorks. "Our first hand knowledge of what it takes to fund, produce and promote an event helps us to develop sponsorship packages that leverage all facets of the event and the media, while maximizing value for both the sponsor and the event organizer."

Toupkin has a long history of managing events. A graduate of the ASU Non-Profit Business Management Program, he worked for both the Multiple Sclerosis Society and Boys & Girls Clubs of America putting on fund-raising events. From there, Toupkin moved into the for-profit world of sports marketing, primarily selling sponsorships for Cactus League Spring Training Baseball. In this capacity Toupkin gained sensitivity to the needs of the sponsor, in particular how they can leverage events to maximize exposure and generate incremental business.

In 1997, Toupkin established FieldWorks to provide sponsorship sales support to non-profit organizations, municipalities, and promoters, helping them to extend their marketing reach. Today FieldWorks offers a full range of services including event management, sponsorship procurement, and public relations. Its specialty is helping clients grow their events and develop creative approaches to financing, while ensuring that event partners maximize return from their sponsorship investment.

One client benefiting from the full suite of FieldWorks services is the Rotary River Rally. According to Jim Lemmon, past-President of the Tempe Rio Salado Rotary Club, "FieldWorks took one look at our event and immediately saw the potential for offsetting costs and generating more revenue. In just their first year working with us we doubled the funds we raised for charity."

FieldWorks has established a reputation for reliability, building its business based on core values of honesty, integrity and personal service. "Especially after my battle with cancer I am even more sensitive to the importance of relationships", says Toupkin.

In celebration of FieldWorks' first 5 years and 10 years cancer-free, Toupkin is giving back to the community and exercising his fund-raising skills for a very personal cause. As a part of the Lukemia and Lymphoma Society's Team in Training, Toupkin is committed to raise a minimum of $5,000 - the cost of a single treatment for Hodgkin's lymphoma. (For more information on the Team in Training program or if you would like to help with a donation please give Darryl a call.)

Mesa HoHoKams Foundation extends relationship with
FieldWorks Events & Marketing Inc.

FieldWorks to produce HoHoKams Golf Classic for three more years

Scottsdale, Arizona. July 2002 - The Mesa HoHoKams Foundation is pleased to announce that they have extended their contract with FieldWorks Events & Marketing Inc. for the production of the annual HoHoKams Golf Classic. Under the terms of this agreement FieldWorks will produce the event through 2004.

"We were very happy with the results of the 1st Annual HoHoKams Golf Classic held at the Mesa Country Club on November 2001. With the help of FieldWorks we produced a very successful golf tournament and silent auction, raising over $30,000 for local charities," according to Tom Rhodes, Big Ho of the HoHoKams.
quote

The HoHoKams Golf Classic is a celebration of the 51-year tradition of giving by the Mesa HoHoKams, an honorary organization of volunteers who raise money to support community youth programs. Each year the HoHoKams donate tens of thousands of dollars to charity; most of which is raised during Chicago Cubs Spring Training in Mesa. Members of the organization receive no remuneration, serving because of their love of their community and their desire to play an active role in the advancement of its youth.

The 2nd Annual HoHoKams Golf Classic presented by Western Block will be again hosted by the Mesa Country Club on Monday November 18, 2002. Following the modified scramble tournament an awards dinner and silent auction will be held to thank participants and raise additional funds for local youth programs. "Our goal is to make this a really fun, memorable event - one that participants will want to return to each year" says Darryl Toupkin of FieldWorks. "There are so many golf tournaments here, we need to do something different to stand out."

One thing that really sets this tournament apart is the quality and quantity of golfer gifts and prizes. Each golfer in the 2002 event will receive a Golf Club Travel Bag from Mizuno, a Hawaiian golf shirt from Hilo Hattie, a World Series duffel bag and lots of other goodies. Each Par 3 on the course will offer several Hole-in-One prizes, including a Caribbean Cruise, a new car and an electric golf cart.

Other tournament activities include Splash for Prizes and a Putting Contest, plus a silent auction and raffle. The silent auction features a 7-day Lake Powell Houseboat vacation and a weekend getaway to Puerta Vallarta, plus lots of free golf, meals, airplane tickets, hotel rooms and autograph items. Not only do golfers enjoy at great day of golf at the scenic and challenging Mesa Country Club, every one will go home with some great gifts.

Tournament sponsors also get "a little extra" from their involvement in this charity golf event. Along with benefits like tee box signage and recognition in the event guide, sponsors will also receive tickets and the chance to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at a 2003 Chicago Cubs Spring Training game in Mesa and an advertisement in the 2003 Chicago Cubs Souvenir Program.

To register to play in the tournament or to inquire about sponsorship opportunities, please contact Darryl Toupkin at (480) 609 3978 or e-mail Darryl@FieldWorksEvents.com. For more information about FieldWorks Events & Marketing Inc. please refer to www.FieldWorksEvents.com.
